Ruffles and Charleston – two things that are near and dear to my heart! If you didn’t know Mark and I got married in Charleston nearly 2 years ago! The city is so magical – full of history, character and beauty every where you turn. I seriously could live in Charleston! You never know we just might some day πŸ™‚ But for now we just visit when we can and look back at our wedding photos and videos often.

Whenever I’m in Charleston I just love dressing the part. Ruffles, dresses, skirts are all so perfect. The more ruffles and flowing material the better! When I first saw this one shoulder ruffleΒ dressΒ from AsosΒ I just knew I had to have it. I typically go for a more neutral pallet but this color is one that I’ll wear from time to time. I don’t have a tan (at all!!) in these photos but this color looks sooooo great with a solid tan. Tan, nude and gold accessories go really well with this color too!

Not only is this dress super comfortable but so are these Banana Republic sandals. I wore these one afternoon while we walked nearly a mile around Charleston. Honestly I was shocked at how comfortable they were. Also, just love the bow detail. Such a fun, subtle twist on the nudist sandal I love so much!

We had a pretty quick trip to Charleston this time. We were there for just over a day before we headed further south for our brother and sister-in-law’s wedding. We love walking around Charleston and make sure that we passed by some of our favorites such as the beautiful houses on rainbow row, the park in the battery and St. Michael’s church all in the historic district. After walking and seeing our favorites we decided to stop into the cutest little meat, cheese, wine shop call goat.sheep.cow. Mark and I are definitely foodies and couldn’t wait to taste a few bites from this super cute shop. We snatched up some yummy meat (jamon serrano) and cheese (organic manchego) with us to the patio of the Blind Tiger Pub.

I could go on and on about how much I love this city but I don’t want to bore you!! Hope you enjoyed this look. I’ll share more looks and things we love around Charleston very soon!

xx – Kristy
